Easy Garlic Basil Pasta

A silky, buttery garlic pasta with fresh basil, parmesan, and lots of glossy sauce — simple, cozy, and perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g spaghetti
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 50-60 g freshly grated parmesan
  • cup ½ pasta water
  • A handful fresh basil
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Extra parmesan for serving

Method
 

  1. Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente.
  2. Save about ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked pasta directly to the pan.
  6. Pour in a little pasta water and add parmesan gradually while tossing everything together.
  7. Keep stirring until the sauce becomes glossy and creamy.
  8. Add fresh basil, black pepper, and extra parmesan on top before serving.
  9. Add extra pasta water if needed for a silkier sauce
    Finish with a small knob of butter for extra shine
    Best served immediately 🤍
